Hoover Administration Apologizes For Sign At Spartan Stadium

Hoover, AL : Hoover High School Principal Don Hulin has offered an apology to the Mountain Brook administration after some in the community were offended by the Buccaneers run-thru sign Friday night at Spartan Stadium.

The sign, created by HHS cheerleaders read:  “BUCS DEFINED BY CHAMPIONSHIPS $PARTAN$… ENTITLED.”

“We understand that the words used on Friday’s game sign were offensive to some,”Hulin said in released statement. “We have spoken with our colleagues in Mountain Brook, offering an apology. We have also discussed ways of ensuring that our procedure is followed for approving signs. These procedures will be implemented immediately.”

Specifics regarding Hoover High’s procedures weren’t immediately made available.

The defending state champion Buccaneers defeated the Spartans 21 – 14.
