Spain Park lacrosse upsets top ranked Mtn Brook

Hoover, AL – The Spain Park Jaguars pulled of what nine other lacrosse programs have been unable to do in 2017. 

Beat the Mountain Brook Spartans.  

Spain Park upperclassmen shined on senior night at Jaguar Stadium, accounting for 10 of the Jags 12 goals in the sudden-death overtime thriller.  

Senior Ryan Shea lead the Jaguars scoring attack with five goals, Troy Bemis scored three while Griffin Monk, Trevor Kulkis, Josh Corley and Austin Wilson chip in one apiece.  

The win pushed the 7-3 Jaguars to 5th in the GBYLA varsity lacrosse standings with two weeks to play in the regular season.  

Spain Park faces off next against the Huntsville Panthers (2-6) Saturday, April 22nd at 11:00 AM at Huntsville High School.  

Mountain Brook (9-1) with host the north region champion, third ranked Randolph Raiders (8-3) Saturday, April 29th at 6:00 PM in Spartan Stadium.
