Hoover QB Robby Ashford picks up invite to Future 50 Camp

Hoover, AL – Elite Hoover Bucs quarterback Robby Ashford has received an invite to the coveted Under Armor All-America Game’s Future 50 Underclassman Camp.  The 6’4, 210  dual-threat signal caller will be one of only five quarterbacks and the only player from Alabama to compete in the event.

Ashford completed 148 of 269 passes for 2,542 yards and 22 touchdowns through the air while adding 623 yards and seven scores on the ground as a junior in 2018.  In his first year as a starter, he lead the Bucs to a 9-4 record and a trip to the AHSAA 7A semifinals.  The two sport athlete’s only looses came at the hands of defenses loaded with D1 talent including national powers St. Johns (DC), IMG Academy (FL) and local rivals Hewitt-Trussville and Thompson.

Ranked as a four star prospect by Rivals, Ashford is currently ranked as the the fifth best quarterback in the nation and the eighth ranked overall player in Alabama going into this senior season with one the state’s premier programs.  He holds offers from 12 FBS programs including Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Penn State and Texas A&M.

The Future 50 Underclassmen Camp will be played Thursday January 3rd, a day before the Under Armor All-America game at Orlando’s Camping World Stadium.
