Bo Culver named Hartselle Tigers head football coach

Hartselle, AL – Less than a month after Hartselle coach Bob Godsey accepted the top job at Madison Academy, the Tigers landed their next head football coach. Deshler’s Bo Culver was officially named the 6A program’s 29th head coach in a special called board meeting Friday afternoon.

Culver has spent the past two seasons at the helm of the Deshler program, leading the Tigers to a 16-10 record including a pair of playoff appearances and a trip to the 2018 4A state title game in 2018. Before taking over in Tuscombia in 2017, the Hatton High graduate made a pair of head coaching stops at 4A Haleyville (25-10) and 2A Phil Campbell (9-21).

Culver lead the Deshler Tigers to the AHSAA 4A state title game in 2018.

His current head coaching record stands at 50-14 including five postseason appearances, a region title and a 27-24 mark in region play over nine seasons.

The Tigers are coming off an 11-1 campaign in 2018 which included a 6A region 7 crown and a trip to the second round of the AHSAA postseason.
