Auburn varsity LAX takes down Briarwood

Birmingham, AL – The fourth ranked Auburn Tigers (9-3) roared past the No. 5 Briarwood Lions (7-5) 16-6 Tuesday night at Birmingham-Southern College’s Krulak Stadium.

The win moves the Tigers into third place in the GBYLA playoff standings behind the No. 1 Vestavia Hills Rebels and second ranked Mountain Brook Spartans.

The Lions will face the Oak Mountain Eagles (8-4) in the first round of the playoffs Tuesday, May 7th at Herdmont Park Stadium. Auburn will host a first round playoff game May 7th at 7:30 at Duck Samford Stadium. The Tigers first round opponent will officially be determined after the close of the regular season, Thursday May 2nd.
