Top ranked Vestavia rallies to knock off No. 3 Oak Mtn.

Birmingham, AL – The No. 1 ranked Vestavia Hills Rebels (16-0, 11-0) came back from a one score deficit, in the fourth quarter, to knock off the third ranked Oak Mountain Eagles 9-7 Tuesday night at Herdmont Park Stadium.

The loss, coupled with Auburn’s victory over the Briarwood Lions, dropped Oak Mountain to the fourth seed in the GBYLA post season. The Eagles will face off against Briarwood (7-5) Tuesday, May 7th at Herdmont Park in the first round of the Alabama varsity lacrosse playoffs.

Vestavia closes out the 2019 regular season at home Wednesday, May 1st against the John Carroll Catholic Cavaliers (2-9).
