No. 1 Vestavia knocks off Oak Mtn. to advance to LAX championship

Vestavia Hills, AL – The top ranked and undefeated Vestavia Hills Rebels (17-0) punched their ticket to the Alabama men’s varsity lacrosse state title game with a 12-8 win over Oak Mountain Thursday night at the SHAC.

Oak Mountain closed out 2109 at 9-4 with wins over top five teams Briarwood Christian and Homewood.

Vestavia faces off against defending state champion Mountain Brook (12-1) Saturday at 4:00 PM in Birmingham-Southern’s Charles Krulak Stadium for the Alabama men’s high school lacrosse state championship. The Rebels knocked off Mountain Brook 14-12 in the rivals regular season meeting April 4th.
