Clay-Chalkville claws past Dothan to open 2019

Alabaster, AL – The fourth ranked Clay-Chalkville Cougars (1-0) clawed to a 37-14 win over the Dothan Wolves (0-1) in the first session of the inaugural Go Gold Bowl Saturday afternoon at Thompson’s Warrior Stadium.

The loss marked the first contest for the new Dothan Wolves program since Northview and Dothan High were consolidated following 2018.

Dothan welcomes the sixth ranked Wetumpka Indians (1-0) to Rip Hewes stadium Friday night for the program’s first home contest post consolidation. The Cougars return to action Friday night at home against the James Clemens Jets (0-1).
