Arab knocks off Madison Academy 48-20

Arab, AL – The Arab Arabian Knights improved to 5-4, 3-4 in region play, with a 48-20 upset victory over the Madison Academy Mustangs (5-4, 4-3) Friday night at a soggy SportsPlex Stadium.

The potent Arabian Knight offense notched their 6th contest scoring north of 40 points while setting a school record for points scored in a season (350).

Senior running back Matthew Turnage lead the Knights on the ground with 258 yards and six touchdowns. Quarterback Ross Reynolds added 155 yards rushing and a score on 22 carries.

The Knights close out 2019 next Friday night in Stevenson at North Jakson’s (2-5) R.D. Hicks Stadium. Madison Academy travels to Killen to take on the the Brooks Lions (5-4) before stepping into the AHSAA postseason November 8th at top ranked and undefeated Jasper (9-0).
