Central-Phenix City’s Javion Cohen flips from Tigers to Tide

Phenix City, AL – The Alabama Crimson Tide made some noise Wednesday afternoon, flipping longtime Auburn commit Javion Cohen from the Tigers to the Tide.

Despite being committed to Auburn since mid June, the Central-Phenix City four-star offensive tackle has been thought to be leaning toward the Tide in recent weeks.

Cohen, who is currently in Hattiesburg, MS, prepping for the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Football Classic, closed out his high school career with back-to-back trips to the AHSAA 7A state title game.

The 6’5, 296 pound senior is ranked the 24th best offensive tackle in the nation and Alabama’s 11th best overall prospect by Rivals. He holds 31 FBS offers including Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Oklahoma, Texas A&M and Tennessee.

Cohen becomes Alabama’s 24 commit and the highest rated offensive lineman in the Tide’s 2019 class.
