Kevin Rose resigns as Bob Jones head football coach

Madison, AL – After 11 seasons at the helm of the Bob Jones Patriots football program Kevin Rose is stepping down – and moving north. The Muscle Shoals native was officially announced as the Lincoln County Falcons head coach Thursday afternoon in Fayetteville, TN.

Rose lead the Patriots to a 90-36 record including six region titles, a pair of trips to the 6A quarterfinals and 10 consecutive postseason appearances in over in just over a decade in Madison.

Before being elevated to the Patriots top job in 2009 he served as Bob Jones’ offensive coordinator for one season after spending a year on Rush Propst’s staff at powerhouse Hoover. His other coaching stops include assistant positions at Handley and Deshler before accepting his first head coaching position at 3A Sheffield in 2000. He lead the Bulldogs to six playoff appearances and a region crown in route to a 43-35 mark over seven seasons in the the quad cities.

Rose’s career record currently stands at 133-71 overall with a 93-34 mark in region play.

Lincoln County, which is located 40 miles north of Madison, is going off a 2-8 campaign in 2019.
