Kelvis White named Bob Jones head football coach

Madison, AL – A month after former Bob Jones head football coach Kevin Rose announced his resignation, the Patriots have landed their next leader on the gridiron. The Tennessee Valley program has announced former Alabama Crimson Tide lineman and current Mae Jeminson head man Kelvis White the Patriots 11th head football coach.

Kelvis, the brother of Sparkman Senators head coach Laron White and son of longtime Courtland head coach Lewis White, has spent the past four seasons as the head coach at Huntsville’s Mae Jamison High, leading the Jaguars to a 25-20 record over four seasons including four consecutive playoff approaches and a 10-2 mark and region crown in 2017.

Before coming to the Rocket City in 2016, White spent eight seasons at the helm of the Dothan High program, posting a 39-45 record with four trips to the AHSAA 6A post season.

Before accepting his first head coaching position in the wiregrass in 2008, the Cortland native spent time as an assistant at Homewood, Russellville and Birmingham-Southern College.

White takes over a Patriots program who is coming off a 4-6 campaign in 2019, having missed the postseason for the first time since 2004.
