Rush Propst resigns as head coach at USA Academy

Coosada, AL – Rush Propst is out as USA Academy’s head football coach. The former Hoover coach’s tenure with with startup program lasted just under two months.

According to a statement released Thursday morning Propst stated that he believed that he had reached an agreement to coach the private school program but never officially entered into an employment contract.

USA Academy announced a national schedule including contests against top prep programs including IMG Academy (FL), St. Peter’s Prep (NJ), St. Francis (MD), St. John’s College (DC) and Our Lady of Good Council (MD).

It is unclear what Propst’s next move will be and if USA Academy will continue as planned in the fall of 2020.
