Gardendale QB commits to West Virginia

Gardendale, AL – Standout Gardendale Rockets signal caller Will “Goose” Crowder has made his college choice. The rising senior pledged his arm to the University of West Virginia Tuesday afternoon.

Rated a three star prospect, Crowder is ranked the 19th best pro-style quarterback in the nation and the No. 19 recruit in the state of Alabama going into his senior campaign by 247 Sports.

He helped lead the Rockets to an 8-4 record as a junior, advancing to the second round of the AHSAA post season while putting up 2,295 yards and 11 touchdowns through the air, completing 185-of-303 throws and rushing for 443 yards and five scores on the ground.

Crowder currently holds 23 offers from programs including Vanderbilt, Kentucky, Georgia Tech, Wake Forest, Virginia Tech, Memphis, South Florida and UAB among others.

He is slated to kickoff his 2020 campaign August 21st against the 7A Sparkman Senators at Driver Stadium.
