Oneonta cleared to return to the gridiron

Oneonta, AL – The Oneonta Redskins received the green light to return to practice Tuesday. The Blount County program placed itself in a 14 day quarantine last week after four players exhibited symptoms consistent with COVID-19. All four players have since tested negative for the virus.

The Redskins canceled their first two games against Cleveland and Hayden when they entered the quarantine. Those games will remained shelved but the Skins’ Class 4A, Region 6 opener against the 4th ranked Etowah Blue Devils is set remain on the schedule.

Oneonta will kickoff 2020, September 4th, at Etowah’s Jim Glover Field.
