Gardendale blasts Jasper 42-0

Gardendale, AL – The Gardendale Rockets snapped their two game loosing skid in impressive fashion shutting out the Jasper Vikings 42-0 Friday night at Driver Stadium.

The win improved Gardendale to 3-2 on the season, notching their first win in region play.  Jasper slipped to 1-3, the Vikings are winless in region 6 through two games. 

Chad Eads’ Rockets pilled up an impressive 405 yards of total offense while holding the Vikings to 120.  

Gardendale signal caller Will Crowder finished the night with 232 yards through the air.  The West Virginia commit connected on 12-of-18 throws and a pair of scores.  

L.T. Sanders pulled down four Crowder passes for 90 yards while running for another 68 on five carries.  

The Rockets return to action next Friday night as they welcome the winless Shades Valley Mounties (0-4, 0-2) to Driver Stadium.  Jasper hits the road to Demopolis (5-0, 3-0) to take on the 9th ranked team in class 5A.
