John Carroll Names New Head Football Coach

Birmingham, AL – The John Carroll Cavaliers will be lead by a familiar face on the gridiron in 2016. After parting ways with third year head coach Tim Sanders (3-27) the Cavs are welcoming back 1996 JCCHS graduate Logan Colafrancesco.

Colafrancesco will be inheriting a Cavalier squad who is coming off five consecutive loosing seasons and will be serving an AHSAA playoff ban for recruiting violations. JCCHS will also be making the move from class 5A to 6A in 2016.

The University of Montevallo graduate has served as an assistant for Jay Brown’s Moody Blue Devils for the past two seasons (11-10). Before joining the Blue Devils, Colafransesco, spent time as the offensive coordinator for the Pinson Valley Indians, Enterprise Wildcats, Oak Mountain Eagles, Oxford Yellow Jackets and Spain Park Jaguars.

He also coached at Hoover’s Simmons Middle School under former Buccaneers head coach Rush Propst.
