Leeds Greenwave Volleyball Ready To Conquer Their Journey

LEEDS, AL- With volleyball season approaching in just a few short months, the Leeds high school volleyball team is preparing to conquer their journey with a winning season, new records, and their first ever state championship.

The lady Greenwave finished their 2016 season with a record of 14-12.

This upcoming season, Leeds is scheduled to play 21 times-13 being home matches.

The volleyball team will host its “Leeds Invitational” tournament on October 1st at Leeds High School.

The Greenwave will start its season off against the Fultondale Wildcats on August 29th at Fultondale High School.

Starting October 1st, the Greenwave will finish out their season with matches against Oneonta, Fultondale, and Midfield.

The season will close October 27th with the AHSAA Volleyball Championships held in Birmingham, Alabama.

The Greenwave have a busy season ahead, and they are looking forward to the journey each match will take them on. Greenwave senior Melina Rose will lead the Greenwave for the last time after playing with the varsity team since the 7th grade. A new season means a new team and new opportunities.
