Madison Academy Hires Carolina Panthers Strength Coach

Madison, AL – Madison Academy has hired former SEC and NFL strength and conditioning coach Angelo James Jr. to head up the Mustangs Human Performance and Physical Wellness Program.

Prior to joining the NFL’s Carolina Panthers, James spent 7 years as an assistant strength and conditioning coach at the NCAA Division I level.   His experience includes stints at the University of Tennessee, South Carolina and Mississippi State.

Prior to his time in the SEC, the Wayne State College graduate served as the Director of strength and conditioning at Rhode Island’s Bryant University.  At Bryant, James directed programs for the Bulldogs 17 division I teams.

In addition to heading the strength and conditioning programs for Mustang athletics, James will head up development for Madison Academy’s new physical wellness curriculum.

The Mustangs athletic training and wellness programs will move into a new 6,000 square foot fitness facility in the later this fall.
