Leeds Baseball Falls to Clay-Chalkville, 7-0, in Season Opener

LEEDS, AL – The Leeds baseball team fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 7-0 loss to Clay Chalkville on Thursday. Clay Chalkville took the lead on a stolen base in the first inning.

Clay Chalkville scored three runs in the fifth inning. The big inning for Clay Chlakville came thanks to a double by Kameron Gilham, a double by Connor Miles and an error.

A single by Alex Chattman in the fourth inning was a positive for the Greenwave.

Chattman went 1-for-2 at the plate to lead the Greenwave in hits.

The Leeds Baseball team are scheduled to take on Lincoln in their second game of the season on Friday.
