Greenwave Punch Playoff Ticket In Victories Against Ashville 

GAME 1– Nick Nilsen didn’t allow a single run as Leeds defeated Ashville 11-0 on Thursday. Nilsen allowed just three hits and induced a groundout from Kolby Armstrong to end the game. An early lead helped propel Leeds to victory. Leeds took the lead on an error in the first inning. 
The Greenwave captured the lead in the first inning. An error scored one run for Leeds. Leeds scored ten runs in the third inning. The Greenwave scored on a double by Alex Chattman, a single by Brent Isbell, a passed ball, a double by Nick Nilsen, a passed ball, and a single by Chattman. A single by Hunter Huckbay in the third inning was a positive for Ashville.

GAME 2– Leeds took Thursday’s game in dramatic fashion, with a 7-6 walk-off victory over Ashville. The game was tied at six with Leeds batting in the bottom of the eighth when Alex Chattman singled off of Hunter Huckbay, driving in one run. The Greenwave collected seven hits and Ashville had eight in the high-scoring affair. 

Ashville took an early lead in the second inning. Landon Vann grounded out, scoring one run. 

After Ashville scored one run in the top of the fourth, Leeds answered with one of their own. Ashville scored when Jaiden Colley hit a sacrifice fly to drive in a run. Leeds then answered when Nick Nilsen doubled off of Kyle King, driving in one run. 

Nilsen led the Greenwave with two hits in three at bats.
