Mtn Brook takes down Randolph to move to LAX final four

Mountain Brook, AL – The Mountain Brook Spartans defeated Huntsville’s Randolph Raiders 17-8 Tuesday night to advance to the Alabama varsity lacrosse semifinals.  

Head Coach Jake Springer’s Raiders closed out Randolph School’s first year of varsity lacrosse ranked seventh with a quarterfinal playoff appearance, a 9-5 record and a GBYLA north region championship.  The Raiders also brought home the Rocket Cup, going unbeaten against North Alabama foes Huntsville, Bob Jones and James Clemens.  

Second ranked Mountain Brook (11-2) hosts Over the Mountain rival Briarwood Christian (11-2) Thursday night at Spartan Stadium for the right to advance to the Alabama varsity lacrosse state title game.  

The Spartans slipped past Briarwood 14-13 in the teams regular season matchup in late March.
