Five Hewitt-Trussville Huskies pick-up SEC offers

Trussville, AL – Five Hewitt-Trussville gridiron standouts picked up offers from the Arkansas Razorbacks this week.  New Razorbacks head coach Chad Morris extended offers to junior quarterback Paul Tyson, senior safety Myles Mason, junior offensive tackle Pierce Quick, and sophomore receivers Malachi Moore and Dazalin Worsham.

Morris, who is looking to retool the Arkansas offense from a ground-and-pound, pro-style attack to the spread, likely finds stars from Trussville’s “Husky Fast” offense appealing.  Current Hewitt head coach Josh Floyd, an Arkansas native, studied the hurry up no huddle attack that the Huskies employ under Auburn’s Gus Malzahn.  Floyd played quarterback for the Tigers head coach and took over for him as head coach at Springdale, Arkansas’ Shiloh Christian, winning four state titles with the Saints in 10 years before making the move to east to Trussville.

Hewitt is coming off their second straight 11-1, region championship season.  The Huskies will make the move back to 7A region 3 in 2018 to join metro area foes Hoover, Mtn. Brook, Vestavia Hills, Thompson and Oak Mtn.
