Jasper hires Eufaula head football coach Bryan Moore

Jasper, AL – Eufaula’s Bryan Moore has been named the Jasper Vikings 35th head football coach.

Jasper’s Daily Mountain Eagle first reported that the Valley native will officially take over as the next Vikings head coach Sunday afternoon.

Moore takes over for former Jasper head coach Heath Brunner who resigned in November after leading the Vikings to a 30-22 record over five seasons.

Jasper is coming off a 3-7 campaign in 2017.

Moore has spent the past three seasons at the helm of the Eufaula program, leading the Tigers to a combined 26-9 record including a 15-3 mark in region play and three consecutive postseason appearances.

Before taking over at Eufaula the Auburn University graduate spent eight years as an assistant at Opelika, the last four as the Bulldogs offensive coordinator.   In 2012 Moore helped lead Opelika to a 10-15 record and a trip to the AHSAA 6A state title game.

The Vikings will make the move from 6A region 6 to 5A region 7 in 2018.
