Super 7 MVP Bo Nix commits to Auburn

Pinson, AL – Pinson Valley blue-chip quarterback and 2017 6A Super Seven Most Valuable Player Bo Nix has made his college choice.  The standout signal caller will be taking his talents to The Plains to play for Gus Malzahn’s Auburn Tigers.

He held offers from Auburn, Alabama, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Florida State and Georgia, among others, but ultimately chose the Tigers over Ohio State and Clemson.

The junior, dual-threat quarterback made his commitment public via an exclusive announcement video produced by Al.com.

Nix pilled up 2,872 yards and completed 196 of 307 passes including 35 touchdowns despite missing four games, due to injury, during his junior campaign in 2017.

Before leading the Pinson Valley Indians to their first state championship on the gridiron, Nix lead the Scottsboro Wildcats to an undefeated regular season in 2016, before falling in the AHSAA playoff semi-finals.  He transferred to Pinson Valley following his sophomore season after his father accepted the Indians head coaching position.

He is 27-1 in his last two seasons as a starting quarterback.

Bo’s father Patrick played quarterback at Auburn from 1992-1995.  During his time on The Plains Nix lead the Tigers to an undefeated season and left as the program’s all-time leader in passing efficiency.

He will join Hoover Bucs four star receiver George Pickens as the Tigers second commitment of the 2019 class.
