Minor taps Hoover assistant to lead Tigers football program
Adamsville, AL – The Minor Tenacious Tigers have named Hoover Bucs assistant head coach Adrian Abrams it’s next head football coach.
Abrams will become the program’s third head coach in three seasons. The Tigers parted ways with first year coach Curtis Graves in December after leading the Jefferson County program to a 4-6 record and missing the post season for the first time since 2013.
This will be Abrams first head coaching gig, before joining the staff at Hoover High the former UAB Blazers linebacker spent time at Billingsley and Simmons Middle School.
Abrams will reportedly be joined at Minor by former Samford University standout and current Pinson Valley Indians assistant Aryvia Holmes. Holmes, who previously spent time with Abrams on Josh Niblett’s Hoover Bucs staff, will likely take over as offensive coordinator for the Tigers.
Abrams joins former Hoover offensive line coach Chad Eads as the second Bucs assistant to land a head coaching job since the end of the 2017 season. Eads was officially named the Gardendale Rockets head coach Thursday.
