Mtn Brook varsity LAX drops Briarwood 15-11


Mtn. Brook, AL – The unbeaten Mtn. Brook Spartans slipped past defending state runner-up Briarwood Christian 15-11 in Alabama men’s varsity lacrosse action Friday night at Spartan Stadium.  

The victory improved the second ranked Spartans to 10-0 on the season while dropping the top ten ranked Lions to 8-4.  

Brian Doud’s Spartans defeated the Huntsville High Panthers (1-10) 17-4 Saturday afternoon in the Rocket City.  Mtn. Brook puts their undefeated record on the line Sunday, April 29th at fifth ranked Auburn‘s (8-3) Duck Samford Stadium.  The Spartans are set to clash with the top ranked Vestavia Hills Rebels (10-0) Wednesday, May 2nd in what will be a #1 vs #2 match-up at Vestavia’s Sicard Hollow Athletic Complex.  

Briarwood closed out their regular season Sunday, falling to the Auburn Tigers 13-11 on The Plains.
