Hoover, Pinson Valley and Hewitt-Trussville to kickoff 2018 on ESPN

Hoover, AL – Hoover, Pinson Valley and Hewitt-Trussville will kickoff their 2018 gridiron campaigns on national television.  

Hoover and Pinson, both reigning state champions in the state’s two largest classifications, will face each other to begin the doubleheader Saturday, August 25th at the Hoover Met.  Hewitt-Trussville will square off against Cedar Grove (Ellenwood, GA) in the second frame that is set to be broadcast on one of ESPN’s family of networks.  

The national doubleheader will feature four Southeastern powers who combined for a 50-5 record, a pair of state titles and three region championships in 2017. 

Also on display will be a slate of Division I prospects headlined by Pinson Valley quarterback Bo Nix (Auburn), Hewitt-Trussville quarterback Paul Tyson (Alabama), Cedar Grove receiver Jadon Haselwood (Georgia), Hoover receiver George Pickens (Auburn) and Hewitt lineman Pierce Quick (Alabama).  

The Hoover Bucs and Pinson Valley Indians are slated to kickoff at 11 am with the Hewitt-Trussville Huskies matchup with the Cedar Grove Saints to follow at 3 pm.
