Thompson shuts out Foley 47-0 to move to 2-0

Foley, AL – The second ranked Thompson Warriors improved to 2-0 with a 47-0 win over the Foley Lions (0-2) Friday night at Ivan Jones Stadium.
Alabama commit Taulia Tagovailoa, who lead the AHSAA in passing last season as a junior, tossed five touchdown passes in the blowout victory. The standout signal caller finished the night with 255 yards, completing 23 of 33 passes.
Michael Pettway finished the night with with seven grabs for 96 yards and a pair of touchdowns. J.B. Mitchell hauled in six Tagovailoa passes for 74 yards and two scores.
Foley kicks off week 3 with a trip to Theodore to take on the 1-1 Bobcats at C.A. Douglas Field. Thompson travels to region 3 rival Hoover (1-1) before christening their new home, Warrior Stadium September 14th against the Oak Mountain Eagles.
