Caleb Ross is leaving Prattville for Troy University

Prattville, AL – After three seasons as the head coach at Prattville High School Caleb Ross is venturing into the college coaching ranks.  

PrepsNet has learned that Ross has stepped down from his alma mater to accept the position of Director of Player Personnel and High School relations at Troy University.  

The 1996 Prattville grad lead the Lions to a combined 23-11 record including three postseason births and a 12-6 mark in region play during his three seasons at the helm of the 7A program.  

Prior to taking the reigns of the Lions program, Ross spent a year at Opelika (9-4) and a three year stint at McGill-Toolen Catholic (30-8) where he lead the Yellow Jackets to a pair of region crowns, two trips to the AHSAA Super 7 and the program’s first state championship on the gridiron in 2015.  He began his head coaching career with a one year stop at Thompson where he posted a 2-8 record in 2011.  

Ross’ career head coaching record currently stands at 64-31 with six playoff appearances, two region titles and a state championship over eight seasons.
