Michell just completed his first season at Shades Valley leading the 6A Mounties to a 4-8 record including a 3-3 mark in region play and a trip to the second round of the AHSAA postseason.  Before coming to Alabama prior to the 2020 season Michell lead the North Little Rock Charging Wildcats (AR) to six Arkansas Class 7A championship game appearances, taking home a state title in 2017.  Before accepting the top job at North Little Rock Mitchell spent time as the head coach and athletic director at Mississippi’s Starkville High School.
