J.B. Wallace named Prattville head football coach

Prattville, AL – The Prattville Lions have landed their next head football coach.  Thursday evening the Autauga County Board of Education officially approved former Prattville assistant and current Marbury head coach Jason “J.B.” Wallace the Lions 35th head football coach.

Wallace replaces former Prattville head coach Caleb Ross who resigned following the 2020 season to accept a position on the Troy University football staff

A 1998 Prattville High alum, Wallace has spent the past two seasons as the head coach at 5A Marbury where he lead the Bulldogs to a pair of 6-5 seasons, two playoff births and 3-3 mark in region play.

His first head coaching position was a 4 year stint at Florence from 2014-2017.  He compiled a 21-24 record including a region title, a pair of playoff births and a trip to the 6A semifinals in 2014.

His overall record currently stands at 33-34 with four playoff appearances and a region crown over six seasons as a head coach.

Wallace also served as Prattville’s defensive coordinator on two occasions, once under head coach Jamey Dubose and again with Caleb Ross.
