Arab knocks off Boaz 45-14 in regular season finale

Boaz, AL – The Arab Knights closed out the regular season strong taking down county rival Boaz 45-14 Friday night at a soggy L.F. Corley Stadium. 

The Knights capped one of their most successful seasons in program history at 8-2, 5-1 in Class 6A, Region 7 play. Arab has recored at least eight victories in a season 10 times in their 100 year history having won eight games in 2012 (8-3), 2010 (8-4), 2003 (8-3), 1978 (8-1), 1957 (8-2), 1951 (8-2), 1949 (8-1-1) and 1926 (8-1-1).  A victory in the first round of the post season will tie for the most wins in program history with the 1993 (9-2) and 1944 (9-0) Arab teams.  

Lee Ozmint’s Knights will welcome the Homewood Patriots to the ACS SportsPlex to kickoff the AHSAA 6A playoffs.  If Arab comes out on top they will advance to take on the winner of Hartselle vs Gardendale in round 2.
