First off I would like to thank God for giving me the opportunity to teach and coach at Thompson High School these past five years.  Next I want to tank the entire City of Alabaster for taking me and my family in and making it home for us.  I want to thank Coach Freeman and Coach Defoor for taking me in and teaching me so much more than than just how to be a good football coach.  The life lessons I’ve learned from them have helped me become a better husband and a better father.  I truly love and appreciate them and the rest of the coaching staff at Thompson.  I want to thank Dr. Vickers, our BOE, Dr. Hester and all of the administration and staff.  Without them none of this would be possible.  It’s tough leaving a place you’ve given so much to.  We have accomplished so many amazing things and I look forward to watching Thompson’s success continue.  I’m exreamly grateful and humbled for the opportunity to be the next head coach at Moody High School.  I can’t wait to get started. Let’s get it boys!  Go Blue Devils! – Moody head football coach Jake Ganus

During five seasons at Thompson, he helped transform the Warriors into a 7A powerhouse, earning three consecutive state championships, three region titles, a 60-5 overall record and a 17-2 mark in postseason play.
