Vestavia Hills knocks off Briarwood to advance to LAX title game

Vestavia Hills, AL – The Vestavia Hills Rebels (12-2) took down Briarwood Christian 11-4 in the Alabama high school varsity lacrosse semifinals Tuesday night at the Sicard Hollow Athletic Complex. 

Briarwood’s season comes to a close at 12-3 while Vestavia will advance to the Alabama varsity LAX title game against the undefeated and defending state champion Mountain Brook Spartans (14-0) Saturday at Hoover’s Buccaneer Stadium. 

The Rebels will be looking to avenge their 18-5 regular season loss to the No. 1 ranked Spartans.
